Who should Gentiles listen to for understanding salvation?
For Gentiles not steeped in the Mosaic system, the Apostle Paul is the man to listen to for understanding salvation. Scripture identifies Paul as the apostle of the Gentiles, speaking to them by inspiration, making his writings the starting point for God's plan of salvation.
Les teaches that Romans is one of the basic books of Scripture for us today, and it is where we have to begin in understanding God's tremendous plan of salvation. The Old Testament believers had salvation, but they were under a whole different set of circumstances, spiritual as well as physical. For us as Gentiles who have not been steeped in the Mosaic system, the Apostle Paul is the man we have to listen to. Les points to Romans 11:13, where Paul says by inspiration, "For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles."
