What happens without the shedding of blood?

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission. A person can get nowhere with God without the shedding of blood, which goes back to the cross. This precept is set in concrete alongside the truth that without faith, you cannot please God.

Les explains that two precepts are just as important and set in concrete: without faith you cannot please God, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission. He says you can get nowhere with God without the shedding of blood, which now goes back to the cross. He urges never losing sight of these two precepts. He then reviews Romans 3:20, where Paul wrote that by the deeds of the law no flesh shall be justified, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. The law could only condemn and had no power to help even the Jew keep it. But the righteousness of God is without the law.
