According to this lesson, how will America be destroyed?
America will not be destroyed by an outside power taking over. Instead, like Rome, it will destroy itself from within. The nation becomes politically, economically, and morally corrupt, pushing God out and embracing immorality, anarchy, and no restraint, causing internal collapse.
Les explains that a society cannot last when it pushes God out of its thinking and worships anything but the one true God, opening itself to immorality. A secular writer observed that unless a society is guided by religious values—even ones we might disagree with—it has no behavioral guidelines and falls into anarchy and no restraint. Rome, despite its great military, became so politically, economically, and morally corrupt that it defeated itself; no outside power had to conquer it. Historians have warned America is on the same road, and Les concludes the nation will destroy itself from within, not through an outside takeover. God is building His case against the immoral segment of humanity.
