Do unsaved people have the same free will as Christians?
No. Unsaved people are bound under the chains of darkness, rebellion, and satanic power, possessing nothing of the free will believers enjoy. Christians have been set free and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son, giving them the best exercise of free will of anybody in this world.
Les teaches that the world thinks it is free and feels sorry for believers, imagining they are bound by do's, don'ts, and inhibitions. But it is the other way around: the unsaved are under the chains of darkness, rebellion, and satanic power, while believers have been set free. He says believers have the best exercise of free will of anybody in this world. That freedom is not licensed but God-given, so they do not want to do what license would permit. The unsaved person has nothing of that complete exercise of free will; he is bound, under chains. Believers are free and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son, and their citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20).
