What happens when someone teaches grace the way Paul did?

When grace is taught the way Paul taught it, the teacher will be accused from time to time of saying that saved people have license to sin. Paul himself was slanderously reported for this. Such accusations are part and parcel of preaching grace, though grace never grants license to sin.

Les explains that this is part and parcel of preaching grace. He cites a theologian from London who said that if you really teach and preach the gospel of grace as Paul did, and as Scripture lays it out, you will be accused from time to time of teaching that saved people have license to sin. Paul said the same thing: "I've been slanderously reported." Les clarifies that this is not license. God's grace was so great that He forgave past, present, and future sins based on His grace, but believers still must walk, work, and live pleasing in His sight. After salvation, daily sins and failures are dealt with by confession, and He recognizes that we are forgiven.
