What is the gospel that Paul is not ashamed of in Romans 1:16?

The one Gospel is that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. This is the Gospel of Christ Paul declares in Romans 1:16, the same message found in 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Corinthians 1, Ephesians 1, and his other epistles. It excludes salvation by repentance, baptism, church membership, good works, or commandment-keeping.

Les explains that Romans 1:16 says, 'For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.' That Gospel is the same one Paul referred to in 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Corinthians 1, Ephesians 1, and various other places throughout his epistles. Les emphasizes that there is only one Gospel: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. He contrasts that with the false ideas that salvation is for everyone who repents and is baptized and joins the Church, does good, or keeps the commandments.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
