What is the Gospel Paul said he is not ashamed of in Romans 1:16?

The Gospel Paul is not ashamed of is the Gospel of Christ—the one Gospel that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Paul identifies it as the power of God unto salvation, the same Gospel he repeatedly preached throughout his epistles.

Les explains that Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.” He identifies that Gospel as the same one Paul refers to in 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Corinthians 1, Ephesians 1, and various other places in his epistles. It is only one Gospel: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Les stresses that it is the power of God unto salvation, and he repeats this from program to program. Just before this, he warns that people can use the right terminology about the Lord and the Holy Spirit while knowing nothing and twisting Scripture to their own destruction.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
