Who can find something that God has hidden?

No one but God Himself can find something that God has hidden. If the Creator hides it, no other being will ever discover it. Believers are hidden with Christ in God, secure where Satan and the world cannot reach them.

Les explains that believers are dead to the old life and have a new life in Christ, an eternal life imputed to them, and that life is "hid." He emphasizes that if the God who created the universe hides something, no one but Him will ever find it. Les uses the walnut illustration: the outer shell must be broken off, then the tough inner shell, and the meat lies deep in the crevices where no one but God can find it. He applies this to believers, who are hidden by an act of the Almighty God, placed with Christ and in God. Satan cannot get at us there, the world cannot get at us there, and no one can touch us. Les says this is assurance and a promise, asking if we can go to sleep knowing that.
