Who is the Bible meant for?
The Bible is meant for everyone in every status of society, not merely the highly educated or intellectual. It is for the common man and even young children, meant to be accessible to all rather than locked away in monasteries and withheld from ordinary people.
Les explains that during the Dark Ages the Word of God was locked up in the monasteries, so the common man never had access to it. The Reformers wanted to completely change that, seeking to put the Word of God in the hands of every plow boy in England. This book isn't meant just for the highly educated or the intellectual; it's for everyone in every status of society. Les says his aim is to bring it to the level of even young children while still going deep enough that people can honestly say they've never realized such depth before.
