Les Feldick Bible Study

What does Les ask his audience to do with what he teaches?

He asks his audience not to simply accept his teaching, but to go home and search the Scriptures daily to verify whether what he teaches is true, following the Berean example. He urges them to check his teaching against Scripture rather than take his word for it.

Les teaches that the Bereans were more noble than the Thessalonians because they received the Word with all readiness of mind and then searched the Scriptures daily to see whether Paul and Silas's teachings were true. He applies the same principle to his audience today: he begs them not to just swallow what he is teaching, but to go home and search the Scriptures and check him out. He does not want people to say, 'that's what Les said.' He wants them to search the Scriptures themselves, because that is what the Bereans did, and many of them believed as a result. He calls searching the Scriptures the secret.
