How is the whole human race, Jew and Gentile, going to be saved?
The whole human race, Jew and Gentile alike, is saved by the Gospel: that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Salvation rests on His payment for sin, His death in our place, and His shed blood, not on clichés or merely inviting Him into one's heart.
Les teaches that God will save the whole human race, Jew and Gentile, by the Gospel that Christ died, was buried, and rose again. He warns that the Gospel has too often been reduced to clichés—handy phrases like “come and take Jesus into your heart,” “just believe in Jesus,” or “take Him as your personal Savior.” Les explains that those invitations may be well and good as far as they go, but they are not the Gospel itself. The Gospel is that Christ died for me and for you, paid my sin penalty, suffered in my place, and shed His divine, pure, precious blood in total payment for sin. He was buried, truly dead, and arose powerfully and victoriously. Because He lives, believers know they live and will live. Once a person understands and believes this Gospel, then he is taking Christ into his heart, and Christ becomes his personal Savior. Les laments that many are neglected and not told this, hearing everything but the Gospel.
