To whom did the scattered believers preach?

The scattered believers preached only to Jews, as verse 19 states, 'none except the Jew only.' However, some men of Cyprus and Cyrene, upon reaching Antioch, spoke to the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. Therefore, they preached to Jews, and some also to Grecians.

Les explains that the twelve disciples remained in Jerusalem, but the rest of the believers were scattered. In verse 19, they went everywhere preaching, but none except the Jew only. Then in verse 20, some of the scattered ones, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, came to Antioch and spoke to the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. Les notes this may be a place where the King James isn't exactly perfect, but the text shows a transition: while the scattered believers initially preached only to Jews, some began preaching to Grecians in Antioch. This occurred about 12-13 years after Pentecost, after Stephen's death and beyond Saul's conversion, as believers migrated north to Antioch.

Acts 11:19

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
