What is the difference between the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of Grace?
The Gospel of the Kingdom declares that Jesus was the Christ. The Gospel of Grace goes further, declaring Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, who died for our sins, shed His blood, was buried, and rose from the dead. Paul was sent to Gentiles with this Grace message, not Judaism or Law.
Les explains that Mount Sinai was where God gave the Law to Moses, and it was appropriate that in Arabia God took Saul to reveal the doctrines of grace. For three years Saul was alone with the Lord, a private seminary, soaking up what he needed. From that preparation, the apostle was ready to go to the Gentiles, not with Judaism, not with Law, but with Grace. Les teaches that this was not just the Gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus was the Christ, but the Gospel of Grace—that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, who died for our sins, shed His blood, was buried, and rose from the dead. That, Les says, is all Paul could write about and talk about.
