How should we understand the revelations given to Paul?
The revelations given to Paul should be understood as truths God had kept secret until He was ready to reveal them. Paul did not receive them from the twelve or from tradition, and the twelve could not comprehend them, while Paul did. God designated Paul apostle of the Gentiles.
Les teaches that God keeps things secret until He is ready to reveal them, and that is how the revelations given to Paul must be understood. Paul disassociated himself from the twelve so far as their doctrines and Gospel were concerned, because God had revealed something to him that no one else had heard before. The twelve could not comprehend it, but Paul does. God had to break even Saul away from the traditions of the fathers. Eventually God designates him as the apostle of the Gentiles, whereas the twelve were apostles of Israel.
