What would happen if Israel repented of killing their Messiah?

If Israel repented of killing their Messiah, everything would still come along as God had intended it. Repentance would allow God's original plan to proceed without alteration. This conditional outcome is stated in the transcript as the result of Israel's repentance for having killed their Messiah.

Les teaches that if Israel would just repent of what they had done—having killed their Messiah—then everything would still come along as God had intended it. This is set in Acts chapter 5, where Peter and the eleven are on trial before the religious leaders. When those leaders heard the apostles' proclamation, they were cut to the heart, but instead of repenting, they sought to kill them. Gamaliel, a Pharisee and doctor of the law, advised caution. Les notes that religionists hate the truth and have only one way to deal with enemies: kill them. The book never uses the term religion in a good way.
