Archaeology is proving that a lot of early Jewish people embraced Christ as their Messiah and Redeemer. This supports that thousands of Jews followed Him early on, even though the vast majority rejected Him and Orthodox Jews today often refuse to admit that Jews ever followed Christ.

Granted, the vast majority rejected it, and as Les has said, they let the ball drop, and God went to the Gentile without them. But at this point, the covenant people are still being dealt with.
