What was Jesus ready to do when He came to Israel?

When He came to Israel, the King was present and ready to bring the whole Abrahamic covenant into fruition by ushering in the kingdom. Israel, however, rejected the King, and by rejecting the King they rejected the kingdom, so the Lord returned to heaven.

Les teaches that Israel’s King was present and ready to bring the Abrahamic covenant into fruition by ushering in the kingdom. But Israel rejected the King, and rejecting the King meant rejecting the kingdom, so the Lord went back to heaven. Les explains that the kingdom is now centered in heaven, and Paul’s Colossians says believers are translated into that kingdom the moment they are saved. It is the same kingdom, because it will yet come back on the earth, and believers will rule and reign with Him. In Acts 3, Peter is resting on covenant ground—the Abrahamic, Davidic, Palestinian, and Mosaic covenants—and says, 'unto you first,' meaning the nation of Israel.
