What did Peter remind the Israelites about instead of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection?

Peter reminded the Israelites who Jesus really was: the Prince of life whom God raised from the dead, and that faith in His name had made the man whole. He did not allude to Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection in this appeal; he focused on their need to recognize Him.

Les explains that in Acts 3:15 Peter cites Jesus as the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, and says the apostles were witnesses. Yet Peter does not even allude to the death, burial, and resurrection in this message; all he is reminding these Israelites is who Jesus really was. The point is that faith in that name made the healed man whole. Then in verse 17 Peter moves to their ignorance, which Les connects with Israel's ancient history under the law—jubilee, cities of refuge, and the case of an accidental killing, where the city fathers could send a man home free if they judged he acted in total ignorance.

Acts 3:15

And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
