What did Philip explain to the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8?

Philip explained that Jesus of Nazareth had done three years of miracles, that Israel had crucified Him, and that God had raised Him from the dead. Philip said the eunuch could be baptized if he believed with all his heart, and the eunuch confessed Jesus the Christ was the Son of the Living God.

Les explains that in Acts 8, Philip explained to the Ethiopian eunuch the same thing: Jesus of Nazareth had done three years of miracles, but Israel had crucified Him, and God had raised Him from the dead. When the eunuch asked about water and baptism, Philip answered that if he believed with all his heart, he might be baptized. The eunuch's confession was, "I believe that Jesus the Christ was the Son of the Living God." He did not say, "Who died for me and rose from the dead?" That was their statement of faith—that Jesus was the Christ, the King of Israel. Les also notes that this was before the Body of Christ truth, with no church structure, pastors, bishops, deacons, elders, or gospel based on death, burial, and resurrection; it was still based on who He was.
