What is biblical faith?
Biblical faith is taking God at His Word. It is trusting what God has said, which requires that God first reveal or speak it, since no one can place faith in something He has never said. This definition means faith rests on God's prior revelation, not on human speculation.
Les explains that biblical faith equals taking God at His Word. He notes that before we can believe what God says, God must first say it and reveal it; you cannot place your faith in something He has never said. Les then applies this to Peter, saying Peter is in perfect accord with God by confining his remarks to Israel and accusing Israel, because God had not yet said they were not under law but now under grace. He references Romans chapter 10 as a verse to back this up.
