Who was God's Son Jesus first sent to bless in Acts 3:26?

Acts 3:26 states God, having raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him first to bless Israel—the Jewish covenant people. Peter tells the nation that as children of the prophets and covenant they should believe, accept Him as King and Messiah, and be converted.

Les teaches that Peter is speaking directly to Israel in Acts 3, reminding them they are the children of the prophets and the covenant God made with Abraham, that in his seed all kindreds of the earth would be blessed. The seed of Abraham goes back to Genesis 3:15, the seed of the woman, and that seed is Christ. Peter says “Unto you first,” so God would send the raised-up Son Jesus to bless Israel by turning them. Les emphasizes every Jew had to believe and be converted and understand Jesus was the Christ. If they had, the Tribulation, King, and Kingdom could have come quickly, and then they could have evangelized the whole Gentile world as the Old Testament prophesied.

Acts 3:26
