What was coming after Saul's conversion and Peter's visit to Cornelius in Acts?

After Saul's conversion and Peter's visit to Cornelius, a departure occurred in Acts: Israel was going off the scene, and Gentiles were coming into God's favor under the whole system of grace. This marked the Church Age, as God called out the Body, a people for His name.

Les explains that the first part of Acts is nothing but Peter and the nation of Israel. Peter is still appealing to the nation on the basis of Old Testament prophecy, and that depended on Israel accepting that Jesus was their Messiah. But Israel continues to reject. Then there is a departure: the conversion of Saul, and in chapter 10 Peter goes to the house of a Gentile, Cornelius. What is coming? Israel going off the scene, and the Gentiles coming in to God's favor under the whole system of grace. Once you see that, Acts becomes exciting to study because what is happening is so obvious.
