How terrible will the last three and a half years of the Tribulation be for Israel?
The closing three and a half years of the Tribulation will bring terrible, terrible days upon Israel. The Nazi Holocaust, awful as it was, will seem almost like a Sunday school picnic by comparison. Gentile armies will overrun Israel, take the city, rifle houses, show no mercy, and send half the city into captivity.
Les teaches that the nation of Israel will go through some terrible, terrible days in the closing three and a half years of the Tribulation. He explains that the Jew of today may not realize it, but the Holocaust of Nazi Germany will be almost a Sunday school picnic compared to what is coming. Les does not belittle the Holocaust, calling it awful, but says compared to these last three and a half years it was nothing. That still faces Israel, and they will be overrun by Gentile armies. The city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and there will be no mercy; half the city shall go forth into captivity. Then, when it almost appears as though Satan is finally going to succeed in destroying Israel by these Gentile hordes, the Lord shall go forth. Les reminds us that the capitalized Lord in the Old Testament is Jehovah, and Jesus claimed to be the I Am of the Old Testament, so it is the Lord Christ. He has ascended and is in heaven, but He will leave heaven and go forth back to the earth to fight against those nations as when He fought in the day of battle, when God fought Israel's battles down through her history.
