Who knows the hour when the Kingdom will be set up in Jerusalem?

God knows the hour when the King will come and set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem. Jesus told the eleven that it was not for them to know, though from His God side He surely knew the exact day and hour. The everlasting God, called olam in Hebrew, is the one who knows.

Les explains that the King is coming one day, and He will set up that Kingdom in Jerusalem. God knows the hour, but Jesus told the eleven that it was not for them to know. Les points out that Jesus, in all fairness, could honestly tell them this even though He surely knew from His God side the exact day and hour. To show the reason, Les goes back to Genesis 21:33, where Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba and called on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God. In Hebrew, that name is olam. Les notes that olam can mean “from everlasting to everlasting,” which God was, but it can also mean “hide” or “hideth.” He recalls Psalms using the same word, asking why God hidest thou thyself from us. So the hour is known to God but hidden from the eleven.
