Are the last days for Israel the same as the last days for the church?
No. The last days for Israel are not the same as the last days for the church. Israel's last days center on the King's coming and the establishment of His kingdom. The church's last days cover the age of grace from Christ's death, burial, and resurrection until the church is caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
Les explains that the same terminology, "last days," is used for two different programs, and they are not identical or synonymous. For Israel, the last days are when the King comes and sets up His kingdom, bringing the fulfillment of all the previous times. For the church, the last days are the age of grace, beginning with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection and continuing until the church is removed from the scene and caught up to meet the Lord in the air. In Isaiah 2, the last days refer to Israel's kingdom, when the Lord's house is established as the top kingdom above all kingdoms, all nations flow unto it, and the word of the Lord goes forth from Zion and Jerusalem, not from heaven.
