Why will the Gentiles come to Israel's light in Isaiah 60:3?

The Gentiles come because God's glory and light have risen upon Israel. Once that light comes to the nation, Israel and the light in consort become the light of the world to the Gentiles. Kings are drawn to the brightness of Israel's rising, and the nations seek them because they have heard God is with the Jew.

Les explains from Isaiah 60 that the passage is addressed to the nation of Israel: "Arise and shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." Even though darkness covers the earth, the Lord arises upon Israel, and His glory is seen upon her. Then Isaiah 60:3 says, "And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising." Les sees the connection: once the light would come to the nation of Israel, the two in consort would be the light of the world to the Gentiles. Zechariah 8:23 reinforces this, where ten men out of all the languages of the nations take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, "We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you." Thus Gentile interest is drawn by God's light and glory upon Israel and by the report that God is with the Jew.

Isaiah 60:2

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Isaiah 60:3

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
