According to Les, what is the image of the invisible God?
The image of the invisible God is the Son, Jesus Christ. He is the likeness, physical appearance, and visible manifestation of the invisible God in flesh and bodily form. Scripture identifies Christ as the visible manifestation in the flesh of the God who cannot be seen.
Les explains that verse 15, speaking of the Son mentioned in verse 13, declares Him to be the image, the likeness, and the physical appearance of the invisible God. That is what Christ is: He is the visible manifestation in the flesh, bodily, of the invisible God. The Son is therefore presented as the one who makes the unseen God visible in flesh and bodily form.
