What proof do we have that Jesus rose bodily from the dead?
Paul records that over 400 people at one time saw Christ in His resurrection body, giving ample proof He arose bodily from the dead. Scripture presents Him as God manifested in the flesh—visible and touchable—and declares He did not remain dead but arose, ascended, and is coming again.
The context explains that fallen humanity wants a god it can see, touch, and even feed. God therefore permitted Himself to become visible, manifested in the flesh, so people could no longer say they cannot worship an invisible God. A whole generation—thousands—saw Him. Paul says over 400 at one time saw Him in His resurrection body. That gives ample proof He arose bodily. The same God who created us went to the cross and purchased redemption, but He did not stay dead: He arose, ascended, and is coming again.
