What is the eighth 'I am' statement in the Bible?
The eighth "I am" statement is in Revelation chapter 22: "I am the bright and morning star." It follows seven "I am" statements in John's Gospel and is associated with New Beginnings, with night past and eternal day coming. This makes it the completion of the series.
Les explains that the first seven "I am" statements are in John's Gospel, including "I am the bread of life," "I am the light of the world," "I am the door of the sheep," "I am the resurrection and the life," and "I am the true vine." He then says the eighth one is in Revelation chapter 22, called the "New Beginnings," where it says, "I am the bright and morning star." He adds that night is past and eternal day is coming.
