After what battle did Moses build an altar named Jehovah Nissi?

After Israel defeated the Amalekites, with Moses' arms held up, Moses built an altar and named it Jehovah Nissi, meaning 'I am your banner.' This event is recorded in Exodus chapter 17. The battle was against the Amalekites. The altar commemorated the Lord as Israel's banner.

Les explains that in Exodus chapter 17, the Amalekites had just been defeated when Aaron and Her held up Moses' arms. After that victory, Moses built an altar and called it Jehovah Nissi, which means 'I am your banner.' Les presents this as part of a pattern where God reveals Himself by names that meet Israel's needs. He also notes Jehovah Rapha earlier, meaning 'I am the LORD that healeth thee,' and Jehovah Shalom in Judges 6 after Gideon defeated enemy armies, meaning 'I am your peace.'
