Did the disciples recognize Jesus when He stood on the shore?
No, the disciples did not recognize Jesus when He stood on the shore. When morning came, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. This happened after they had gone fishing and caught nothing all night.
Les explains that after three years of frustration, Peter said he was going fishing, and the others went with him. They entered a small vessel and fished all night, catching nothing. Les notes that catching no fish with a net is next to impossible, and the men were disgusted. When morning came, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not know it was Him. Jesus asked if they had any food, and they answered no.
