Where are many of Paul's letter teachings not found according to this lesson?
Many of Paul’s letter teachings are not found in the Old Testament, in Christ’s earthly ministry, or in the early book of Acts. They are brought out in Paul’s epistles, and this lesson urges keeping them in mind before returning to the Gospels to see that contrast.
Les explains that he wants to take points Paul brings out in his epistles and have listeners keep them in their memory bank. Then, when they go back to the Gospels, they can realize that none of this is back there. He says many things Paul brings out in his letters are not in the Old Testament, nor in Christ’s earthly ministry, nor in the early book of Acts. He adds that you do not throw the rest of the Bible away in order to study Paul. He then begins with I Corinthians chapter 15, verses 1 through 4, urging constant comparison.
