Which verse mentions both the blood and faith absolutes in one verse?

Romans 3:25 is the verse that brings both absolutes together: without the shedding of blood there is no remission, and without faith it is impossible to please God. The context identifies it as the one verse where these two nonnegotiable truths meet.

Les teaches that there are two absolutes that can never be compromised or detoured around. The first is that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, drawn from Hebrews 9:22. The second is that without faith it is impossible to please God, drawn from Hebrews 11:6. Les then points to Romans 3:25 as the one verse where both absolutes are mentioned together: “Without the shedding of blood there is no remission, without faith it is impossible to please God.” He stresses that the two must be brought together, and here they are in one verse.

Romans 3:25

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

More Questions

Why are both the shedding of blood and faith needed for salvation?

In the verse 'Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood,' there are two things—propitiation through His blood and faith—and these cannot be separated, because without the shedding of blood there is no remission and without faith there is no salvation.

Why do we place faith in Jesus' blood?

Faith in Christ's blood is for the remission of past sins and, through God's forbearance, to declare His righteousness at this time.
