What did the people who came out of the graves after Jesus's resurrection do?
After Jesus rose, those brought out of graves near Jerusalem went into the Holy City and appeared to many people. They were not merely revived to die again like Lazarus; their resurrection demonstrated the power of Christ's resurrection and fulfilled the Old Testament first fruits picture.
Les teaches that resurrection never took place until Jesus was raised from the dead. Earlier cases such as Elijah, the widow's son, and Lazarus were not resurrection; they were merely brought back to life only to die again. Immediately after Christ's resurrection, to show its power and to fulfill the Old Testament first fruits practice, people were brought out of graves in the Jerusalem area. They went into the Holy City and appeared unto many. Scripture does not say they went on up into glory, but Les reasons they had to have because they were truly resurrected, not merely raised to die again.
