Why didn't Old Testament prophets write about the church age?
Old Testament prophets did not write about the church age because they knew nothing of a 1900-year period of grace. They saw the crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, wrath, and kingdom as prophesied, but the church age was left out of their writings.
Les teaches that the sequence he outlined—crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, the nations in derision, the wrath of God, and the kingdom—omits the church age. He left it out because the Old Testament leaves it out. The prophets did not know about a 1900-year period of grace; they only saw the prophesied events coming down. In Acts 2, Peter is in the same mode, quoting Joel to show the day of Pentecost as that fulfillment, yet the church age remained unrevealed to the Old Testament prophets.
