Why was the Church Age hidden from the Old Testament?

The Church Age was hidden from the Old Testament because it is a secret held in the mind of God, to remain secret until God reveals it. The Old Testament only outlines God's dealings with Israel, the rejection, the tribulation, and the Kingdom; the Age of Grace is absent.

Les explains that for 2000 years God dealt predominantly with Israel, with only a few Gentile exceptions like Nineveh, Rahab, Ruth, and Naaman. Even in Christ's earthly ministry, He dealt mainly with Israel, except the Canaanite woman and the Roman Centurion. Psalms 2 outlines that after Jew and Gentile rejected and crucified Him, He ascended (Psalms 110), and there would be an undetermined period, then the seven years of tribulation (Daniel), then the King returns and Israel could have the Kingdom. That is all the Old Testament knows. What is missing is the Church, the Age of Grace. Les says it is not in the Old Testament because it is a secret held in the mind of God, and it will remain a secret until God reveals it.
