How will the Rapture happen—will the world hear it?

The Rapture will be a silent, unknown event. The world will not know that believers have gone. It will be instantaneous and silent, and there will be no trumpet sound that the world will hear. This differs from the Second Coming, when survivors will see the sign of the Son of Man.

Les explains that at the Rapture it will be a silent, unknown event. The world is not going to know that believers have gone. It will be instantaneous and silent, with no trumpet sound that the world will hear. By contrast, at the Second Coming, after the tribulation, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear, all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they shall see Him. The survivors at that time will witness these things, but the Rapture itself is unheard by the world.
