From where did the disciples show Jesus the temple buildings in Matthew 24?
The disciples showed Jesus the temple buildings from the Mount of Olives, across the Little Kidron Valley. After He left the temple complex, they crossed the valley and went up the Mount of Olives, then looked back toward Jerusalem’s eastern wall and the temple complex and pointed out those buildings to Him.
Les teaches that the disciples likely showed Him the buildings from a distance, probably across from the Mount of Olives. He explains that when you are on the Mount of Olives, you look across the Little Kidron Valley and see the eastern wall and the temple complex. After Jesus left the temple, crossed the Little Kidron Valley, and went up on the Mount of Olives, the disciples probably looked back and pointed out all this to Him, asking what about it.
And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
