What will happen when God removes the church from the world?
When God removes the church from the world, the restraining dam against iniquity is lifted, and a river of iniquity will flood the planet like never before. The church acts as a dam in a river of iniquity, holding back evil until God lifts it out.
Les teaches that Paul makes it clear in Thessalonians that the true Church, the believer, is like a dam in a river of iniquity. One day God is going to lift us out, and that river of iniquity is going to flood this planet like it has never been before. Until that happens, believers are to be that dam in the river and stand in the gap, as Ezekiel said to the Jews. Our citizenship is in Heaven, and we are ambassadors representing our home government in a foreign country.
