Why do people have problems with Les's teachings?
People have problems with these teachings because they are not used to them, just as Peter found Paul's epistles hard to understand—especially that God would save Gentiles without Jews. The unlearned and unstable twist difficult Scriptures, and cults master this twisting, resulting in their own destruction.
Les explains that people have problems with some of the things he teaches because they are not used to them. He notes Peter was in the same boat: Peter could not comprehend that God would save a multitude of Gentiles without the Jews, which was Paul's message. Even at that late date, Peter said Paul's epistles contained some things hard to be understood. Les warns that the unlearned and unstable twist these Scriptures, as they do other Scriptures, and people become masters at it—that is where cults come in. Their end result is their own destruction.
