What is the consequence of the unpardonable sin?

The unpardonable sin leaves a person with no hope of glory and headed for the lake of fire. Yet Scripture indicates the only thing that ultimately condemns a human being is unbelief, and God's grace reaches even the vilest sinner who believes.

Les explains that those guilty of the unpardonable sin have no hope of glory and are headed for the lake of fire. However, he cautions that the only sin that ultimately condemns anyone—Jew or Gentile, rich or poor—is unbelief, not any particular word or deed. He stresses that no sin is beyond God's grace, and even the vilest sinner remains a candidate for that grace if he believes. He then turns to Hebrews 3, which he attributes to Paul, to illustrate from Israel's experience after coming out of Egypt and being led toward the promised land.
