What must a person go on to believe after confessing that Jesus is the Son of God in this age of grace?

In this age of grace, after confessing Jesus as the Son of God, a person must go on to believe that Christ went to the cross, shed His blood, and provided redemption. Salvation comes by being justified freely by grace through faith in His blood, not by works or mere assent to His identity.

Les explains that believing Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, is foundational, but in itself it is not enough to save anyone in this age of grace. A person must go to the next part of Revelation: the Christ, the Son of the Living God, went to the cruel cross and shed His blood. Les compares this with Romans chapter 3, starting at verse 23, where all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Verse 24 says sinners are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God set Him forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood. Grace is the total opposite of works, and this blood is now mentioned.
