Why did Jesus not take the Greeks who came to Him?

Jesus did not take the Greeks because, during the period when God dealt with Israel under the covenants, Gentiles were outside those covenant promises; He could not yet be the object of their faith until after His death, burial, and resurrection.

Les explains that Gentiles were not in the covenant promises and were not citizens of the nation of Israel. While God was dealing with Israel on the basis of the covenants from Genesis 12 until Acts chapter 9, the Gentile was outside. That is why Jesus did not take these Greeks: He could not be the object of their faith until He had died the death of the cross, been buried, and risen from the dead. Les also illustrates the same mindset with Jonah's reluctance to go to Nineveh and Peter's initial reluctance in Acts chapter 10 regarding Cornelius.
