Did the Abrahamic covenant include Gentiles?
No. The Abrahamic covenant, on which all the covenants rested, included no one but Jews. It was Jewish and operated under covenant promises, so Gentiles were not included in that covenant. Jesus came to fulfill those covenants and ministered to His own people, Israel.
Les explains that all the covenants rested on the Abrahamic covenant, and that covenant included no one but Jews, even though he admits that is hard for people to swallow. Jesus said what He said because He had come to fulfill the covenant — He did not come except to fulfill these covenants. Les titles his approach to Christ's earthly ministry "The Road Less Traveled," noting he is in the minority, while the majority think that as soon as you get into Matthew you are in Christianity and church ground, which he says could not be further from the truth. This is Law, this is Jewish, and Christ came to His own; until His own receive Him not, it must be dealt with under the covenant promises.
