What happened when Satan tempted Adam?

Despite being the federal head of the human race with dominion over all God's creation, and despite ideal circumstances with nothing lacking, Adam yielded to Satan's one little temptation and fell. His failure stands in contrast to Christ, who came as a lowly servant.

Les explains that Adam was the federal head of the human race and was given dominion over everything God created; it was his to rule and reign over. Yet when Satan came on the scene with one little temptation, Adam—though he had all that power at his disposal and beautiful circumstances with nothing to be desired, everything there for him—fell. In contrast, Christ came in His earthly ministry not as the royal king as yet, but more as a servant, lowly, riding upon the foal of an ass. He epitomized that servant role by washing the disciples' feet. This threw a curve at the Jews, who were looking for someone to come on a white steed, like a Roman general or emperor. So Adam fell under Satan's temptation despite total dominion, while Christ came as the lowly servant.
