Under what circumstances did Adam fall when Satan tempted him?

Adam fell despite being the federal head of the human race, given dominion over everything God created, ruling and reigning under beautiful circumstances with nothing lacking. When Satan came with one little temptation, Adam—with all power at his disposal—fell.

Les teaches that Adam was the federal head of the human race and was given dominion over everything God had created; it was his to rule and reign over. Satan came on the scene with one little temptation, and Adam fell even though he had all that power at his disposal, under beautiful circumstances, with nothing to be desired, everything there for him. Les contrasts this with Christ, who came in His earthly ministry not as the royal king as yet. He presented Himself as king but came more as a servant, lowly, riding upon the foal of the ass. This threw a curve at the Jews, who looked for someone on a white steed like a Roman general or emperor. Christ epitomized servanthood by washing the disciples' feet, even though He was the Creator of the universe and the coming King of Israel and the whole planet. So He came as the lowly servant, not as Adam with total dominion.
