What was Jesus' physical condition after his forty-day fast?

After fasting forty days and forty nights in the wilderness, Jesus was afterward hungry. His physical condition was one of hunger, having abstained from food for that entire period. This hunger became the point of temptation when Satan came to Him and tempted Him with food.

Les teaches that after Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil, He fasted forty days and forty nights. The context notes that the wilderness of Judea is a barren, rugged, mountainous desert. When the fast ended, Jesus was physically hungry. Les points out that Satan knows our weakest point, so he tempted Jesus with food, saying, "If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."

Matthew 4:2

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
