What did the 1960s Jesus people miss about Jesus?

They missed His resurrection power and His saving power. They made much ado about Jesus but focused only on His good earthly life. They did not understand that no one is saved merely by believing Jesus did good; that is not salvation.

Les explains that many people coming out of the 1960s Jesus movement made a big ado about Jesus, but they knew nothing of His resurrection power or His saving power. They constantly referred only to His good earthly life. He stresses that no one is saved by simply believing that Jesus did good; that is not salvation. In contrast, believers know the resurrected Christ, the One who died for our sin, now the glorified Lord of glory.
