Why did Jesus have divine blood instead of human blood?
Because the blood system of a fetus comes only from the father, and the mother’s blood never enters the child. Since Jesus had no human father, He did not receive human blood; His blood was divine, untainted, and incorruptible, making the virgin birth basic to salvation.
Les teaches that the mother’s blood never goes into the fetus or baby; the fetus’s whole blood system comes only from the Father. This physiological fact is the basis of the virgin birth. If Mary’s blood had interchanged with the fetus while He was in the womb, then it would not have been true that Christ could be sinless and that His blood was divine, untainted, and incorruptible. Because Jesus did not have a human father, He consequently did not have human blood but had divine blood. That is why the virgin birth is so basic to salvation.
