Is Luke 1:73 in the New Testament or the Old Testament?

Luke 1:73 is in the New Testament. The context identifies this passage as New Testament, not Old Testament, and specifically cites verse 73, the oath God swore to Abraham, as being in the New Testament. It is therefore not an Old Testament verse.

Les explains that as Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, he spoke inspired words in verses 67 and following. The passage refers to being saved from enemies and then to the oath God swore to Abraham in verse 73. Les emphasizes that this is New Testament, not Old Testament, saying, “Now that’s in the New Testament.” So while the oath reaches back to Abraham, the record of Luke 1:73 itself is in the New Testament.
